About Kelly Seyarto

Public service isn’t just something our local Assemblyman Kelly Seyarto does in his spare time, it’s a lifelong passion. To put it simply he has the experience to be our next Senator and the record to back it up.

Kelly is a native Californian who has spent his entire adult life serving his community and protecting the public. For 35 years Kelly served the public as a firefighter until his retirement in 2015 as Battalion Chief.

Kelly was first elected to the Murrieta City Council in 1997 and served through 2006. Choosing to spend more time with his family, Kelly declined to run for reelection in 2006 but returned to serve the City of Murrieta again in 2016 and served as Mayor. Kelly was then elected to serve our community in 2020 as the State Assemblyman.

In addition to his public service over the years, Kelly has been a community leader in nonprofit and community organizations including on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club, the League of California Cities Public Safety Committee and the Western Riverside Council of Governments.

Kelly’s education background consists of an Associates of Arts Degree in Fire Science from Mt. San Antonio College, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Fire Administration and Technology from California State University Los Angeles and he holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, California State University Long Beach (With Honors).

Kelly lives in Murrieta with his wife Denise of 34 years and has three daughters.
